Microsoft & Obsidian Announce The Outer Worlds October 25th Release Date
Microsoft began it’s Xbox E3 2019 briefing by unveiling October 25th, 2019, as the release date for upcoming space RPG, The Outer Worlds. A brand new trailer was also produced for the occasion.
Developer Obsidian’s latest offering is a single-player FPS RPG set in a sci-fi universe with a distinctly Fallout-esque sauce thrown on top. Players take on the role of a stranger lost in space on a grim alien planet on the furthest reaches of the galaxy housing the Halcyon colony.
Factions, alien aberrations, and gun-toting assailants pose a threat to your advancement in a narrative driven adventure through a world beset by corporations that run all aspects of life with lifestyle trappings such as scheduled scarcity. The world is there to be shaped and changed to your will. Going against the tide, you must challenge the status quo and unearth rampant corruption. You can decide to play as a good guy or a psychopathic villain.
The Outer Worlds heads to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
