Thermaltake Expo Day 4 Round Up

It’s day four of the 2020 Thermaltake Expo, and there have been a few more unveilings we think are worth taking note of. If you missed them already, check our roundups of days one, two, and three to catch up on everything already announced by the well-known PC brand.

New Headphones

Thermaltake has introduced a couple of new headphones that should be enough to contend with the other high-grade gaming headsets on the market at the moment.

The first option is the Riing Pro 7.1, a headset that features 7.1 ‘premium surround sound’, as well as oversized drivers that minimize distortion whilst still producing clear and precise sounds at both low and high frequencies.

You can expect the Riing Pro 7.1 to come with a built-in control box, that is capable of controlling the surround sound, EQ levels and volume controls even when in use, so you can customize your audio experience to be just how you like it.

The design of these headsets looks good too, with memory foam based padding alongside an adjustable headband, and, of course, customizable RGB on the earcups. Interestingly, the RGB can be controlled via Razer Chroma and Amazon Alexa Voice Service, which means that you could control the RGB on the headset with nothing more than your voice. Interesting – but it might annoy whoever is on the other end of your microphone.

Shock XT

Then there is the Shock XT 7.1 Gaming Headset. Featuring the same 7.1 Surround Sound audio as the Riing Pro, this headset is also outfitted with an advanced USB audio control box wit ha built-in digital signal processing sound card to enhance the audio and your voice as you use it. Plus, the control box can alter EQ levels, volume, and mute settings on the fly, perfect for mid-game adjustments.

The cherry on top is that the headset will work on a number of platforms, with Nintendo Switch, PC, Mobile, and other consoles tipped to support the headset.

New Toughdesk

Obviously, all of this new Thermaltake gear needs somewhere to be stored, and in answer to that question, Thermaltake has unveiled their very own ‘Toughdesk’, a desk designed specifically for gaming.

Along with its electronically adjustable height control, the desk features a full surface RGB mouse pad, putting even more color into your PC build by making the table itself glow. Outside of that, it seems to be a very reliable gaming desk, L shaped to fit more of your build onto it with cable management options included.

Outside of these announcements, there were some more peripherals dropped in the fourth day of the expo – if you are interested, you can check them all out here. It will be interesting to see how these products perform in the months to come, and what other exciting tech Thermaltake is working on behind closed doors.
