I’ve been keeping an eye out for deals on the ASUS ROG Swift OLED monitor for a while, and it’s finally at an affordable price again thanks to Cyber Monday and Black Friday deals.
Having been stripped down from $1,299 down to $999, there’s the potential to save nearly 23% on one of the leading OLED monitors available for gaming. The ASUS ROG Swift OLED 32-inch edition is a fantastic monitor suitable for a range of purposes, anything between competitive e-sports gaming to immersive AAA titles.
Features that make the ASUS ROG Switch 4K OLED worth it
There’s so many reason why the ASUS ROG Swift OLED is worth it for gaming. The most glaringly obvious, both in physical and techincal senses, is the OLED panel that makes this monitor really pop. The QD-OLED panel runs at 240Hz and has a response time of 0.03ms. You would typically expect an OLED display, like the LG C4, to run at a slower refresh rate and response time as a compromise for the pixel quality, however, the ASUS ROG Swift prides itself on leaving nothing to be desired.
It features VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black compliance, 99% DCI-P3 gamut, true 10-bit, and Delta E<2 colour difference for the best HDR performance, meaning there are absolutely no compromises on colour quality here.
There’s another neat advantage to the monitor that you won’t necessarily have ever thought you were interested in; correct font display. With typical monitors, you can see the pixel matrix pretty clearly if you observe the screen from the wrong (or right?) angle. However, due to the way that OLED panels work, this is much less of a problem. When reading text from an IPS panel, you might notice the font looking slightly weird at times, however you will never experience that on an OLED display.
