Gaming fans around the world, myself included, let out a collective cry of excitement when we finally got the confirmation we’ve been waiting so long for – we are getting a new Fable game! As part of the latest Xbox showcase, we were treated to the first look at this long-anticipated game that is set to release on the next-gen Xbox Series X.

Not the news story we expected to publish this week, but here we are. After months of rumors around what the next Call of Duty game title would be, it seems we finally got confirmation, although not from the developers themselves. Nope, this game from a Doritos packet, of all places. As part of a cross-promotion, a packet was spotted that seemingly confirms the next game will, in fact, be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

As far as I’m concerned, we can never have too much Witcher. And, hot off the heels of The Witcher himself, Henry Cavill, building his own PC and causing a social media storm, we got word this week that there will be another show set in the Witcher universe. This time, we’re going back to the start of it all to find out how the first Witcher was created. Hopefully, it’s as good as The Witcher show itself and helps give us more backstory to one of our favorite game series.

CES

Following in the footsteps of most other big gaming events, CES officially announced this week that their 2021 January event will be going all digital. Not a huge surprise, but it is the first event of 2021 to make this move, showing that the industry is still going to be very different next year thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Grounded released this week on both PC and Xbox One, shooting its way to Steam best-seller in a matter of hours. The game follows a group of kids shrunk down to the size of bugs as they adventure their way through dangerous landscapes. Of course, if you’re wanting to get your hands on this latest release, make sure your PC can handle it with our comprehensive system requirements.
