Threadripper 3000 Series Announcement

It’s been a little while since we last saw a release of a new generation of the Threadripper, as we saw the previous Zen2 Threadripper 3000 models release across 2019, so it’s high time their Zen 3 equivalents finally made an appearance, and it’s coming a little too late for some. We saw the consumer releases of Zen 3 in mid-2021, and since then enthusiasts have been hanging on to the fact that surely, Threadripper will be coming.

Zen 3 Threadripper 5000 Pro release date

AMD’s Zen 3 Threadripper 500 PRO is due to be released on March 8 of 2022, according to a report from Videocardz. Their source is the reputable leaker Disclosuzen, who has previously leaked out accurate AMD leaks in the past. What we do not know, however, are confirmed specifications for the lineup of AMD Zen 3 Threadripper 5000 Pro series. Of which there are due to be five SKUs released in total throughout 2022.

According to excellent reporting via Videocardz, AIB partners are frustrated about the distance between the release of the Zen 3 Threadrippers, with some saying that it’s simply too late after the consumer Zen 3 offering’s release, especially with the Ryzen 6000 release date coming so soon. We can expect to see the full specification list released from AMD at CES 2022 at the earliest, meaning that we can potentially see a full list of core sounds, clock speeds and what’s sure to be incredibly demanding TDPs for these supercharged chiplets.

With that said, we should expect to see more from the AMD Zen 3 Threadripper Pro series at AMD’s briefing at CES 2022 in January 2022, which is not too long away and comes with it, heaps of additional news such as new graphics cards and much more to look forward to. We’ll be covering all the latest PC news coming out from CES, as your post-Christmas tech deluge. There’s a lot to look forward to.
