Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies trailer leaks early
Some lucky Youtube viewers saw the trailer 3 hours before its official release

So we’ve already seen a fair bit of footage from the upcoming Call of Duty Vanguard, but very little on the Zombies mode, which of course is everyone’s favorite aspect of any COD game. The first official trailer for COD Vanguard Zombies is going to be revealed on the Call of Duty Youtube channel at 8am PST/11am EST/4pm BST. However, some fortunate Youtube viewers have been treated to the trailer early in YT ad breaks.
Of course, some have even managed to capture the footage for everyone else’s viewing pleasure.
Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies – What we know
The COD Zombies trailer gives us our first glimpse of the World War II themed mode, and even reveals some of the maps in which we’ll be fighting off hordes of undead. The suitably dark and gloomy trailer doesn’t actually reveal too much, focussing on cinematic footage over gameplay. However, fans of the franchise have already been quick to criticise that Treyarch have seemingly just reused a lot of existing functionality for Vanguard Zombies.
Reused multiplayer maps
Hotel Royal is already a Call of Duty multiplayer map, and can be seen in the trailer for Vanguard’s Zombies as well. There is also a glimpse of fan-favorite map Shi No Numa, which has divided fans. Some are happy to see existing maps revamped for Zombies, others commenting on the laziness of Treyarch. However, revamping old maps for use in Zombies isn’t new, with the likes of Nuketown having been utilized for Zombies gameplay in previous COD releases.
Vanguard Zombies first look
Since this is still only the first Zombies reveal and doesn’t give a whole lot away, it may be worth holding off making any firm conclusions about the quality. Zombies is always a fan-favorite mode, so hopefully Treyarch have done all they can to maintain our expectations.
Official trailer release
If you still want to tune in for the official Call of Duty Youtube release of the trailer, you can set a reminder on their channel now. The live reveal will take place at 8am PST/11am EST/4pm BST on October 14th, 2021.
The trailer will go live at the same time as the trailer for the new Battlefield 2042 mode Hazard Zone. The Battlefield Youtube channel will also9 launch their trailer at 8am PST/11am EST/4pm BST on October 14th, 2021.
COD Vanguard Zombies release date
Vanguard Zombies will be released as part of the full Call of Duty Vanguard game on November 5th, 2021.
