So, the HTC Vive XR Elite, previously rumored to be called the HTC Flowcus, has finally been announced, and what’s more, we’ve actually been given a wealth of information, instead of being left to decipher marketing drivel. Also thank god it’s not called the Flowcus anymore.

So, we don’t know the exact release date yet, however, when you pre order the Vive XR Elite from HTC’s website, alongside the headset, itself, you also find a big red bit of text in your basket that reads “Pre-order shipments are estimated to begin in early March, 2023.”.
So, it’s safe to say that the Vive XR release date will be in March, with the headset landing on the doorsteps of consumers worldwide within the same month, crappy regional mail services notwithstanding.

Weirdly enough, the Amazon listing shows the Vive XR Elite release date as March 31st, 2023. However, this might just be a placeholder date for now, but we’re hopeful that it might be an accidental confirmation. Though, we’ll wait for info from HTC themselves before jumping to conclusions.
