This makes sense, as we saw with the PSVR 2, a lot of people were chomping at the bit to know when it would ship and arrive at their doors. Well, unfortunately, we’re mostly past the days where you’d queue up outside a shop to get it at midnight, meaning that frantically googling the answer is as good as you can get, unreliable courier tracking systems notwithstanding.

Annoyingly, the answer isn’t as straightforward as it usually is, as there is a discrepancy between what the Amazon listing says, and what’s on the official HTC website’s product page. Well, Amazon says when it will be released, but not when it will ship, where as the HTC website shows the opposite info. Perhaps one day this sort of stuff will become less obtuse, but that day ain’t today.
Vive XR Elite shipping date
So, when will the Vive XR Elite arrive? Well, according to HTCs website, “Pre-order shipments are estimated to begin in early March, 2023.”
So, they might have begun to ship already, however, given the Amazon listing shows a release date of March 24th, it’s quite unlikely that they’ve already started shipping to customers. However, the headsets have probably begun to make their way to distributor warehouses.

For those of you waiting on Vive XR Elite pre orders, the earlier shipping date listed by HTC bodes well for receiving your XR Elite on launch day. This means can rest in relative ease about being able to unpack and dive into your new VR experience as soon as it arrives, be it carefully couriered, or launched form altitude as so many delivery drivers seem fond of doing. No, we’re not salty about anything.
