Western Version Of Collection of Mana is Now Available

A darling of the JRPG genre and until now Japanese exclusive, Seiken Densetsu 3, is heading west for the first time, or should we say is finally getting a bonafide English localization treatment for the Switch. Nintendo announced the exciting news during its E3 Direct presentation at E3 2019.

Seiken Densetsu 3, otherwise known as Trials of Mana, is being packaged with two other titles in what is being called Collection of Mana. The other two games are other quintessential retro action JRPG mainstays Final Fantasy Adventure (or Seiken Densetsu if we go by the original Japanese Game Boy version) and Secret of Mana originally released way back on the SNES. An identical retro collection launched in Japan in 2017.

The best part of all this, other than finally bringing Seiken Densetsu 3 to English-speaking audiences for the first time, is that Collection of Mana is available right now. You can pick it up in the Nintendo Store.

Nintendo didn’t stop there, however, and revealed Square Enix is developing a remake of Trials of Mana in full modern 3D glory for the Switch, slated for release in early 2020, in a similar style to last year’s PlayStation 4 remake of Secret of Mana.
