In order to keep Destiny 2 fresh and draw back players every day, the game work off of a daily reset system. This allows activities to rotate out their loot drops and active specific activities depending on the day of the week.
Destiny 2 also features a weekly reset for many of the vendors in the game, so you have something to look forward to buying each week. Let’s go over when the daily and weekly reset occurs in Destiny 2 so you can start your grind as soon as possible.
When Is Destiny 2’s Daily Reset
Each day of the week Destiny 2 will reset at a specific time to change out many of the rotating activities and loot pool. This will move around the location of the legendary lost sector, change out public event and activity-focused loot, and reset some vendors’ shops — like the gunsmith.

The daily reset for Destiny 2 occurs at 9 am PST or at 10 AM PDT if it is during Daylight Savings Time. Since this is a daily rest, the servers won’t go down during this time. So you can keep grinding whatever you were before the reset and then after the time passes, switch over to your new grind.
When Is Destiny 2’s Weekly Reset
The weekly reset for Destiny 2 is a much larger deal than the daily reset. This is when many of the game’s activities reset their loot drops so you can go and run them again throughout the week. All of your pinnacle gear drops will also reset during this time. here is the full list of all that resets with the weekly reset:

Since this is the much more important reset of the week, you don’t want to miss it when this goes live. The weekly reset for Destiny 2 occurs every Tuesday at the same time as the daily reset for that Tuesday. This means it will either be at 9 AM PST or 10 AM PDT on a Tuesday depending on what time of year it is.
Although this is a major reset for the Destiny 2 serves, they don’t actually go down for very long if at all. This means you don’t need to wait for more than a few minutes past the reset time to log back into the game and experience the new seasonal content like Favors of Grace.
