The massive amount of 3D V-cache is going to be a big advantage when it comes to games. As we saw with the 5800X3D, the cache can make a huge difference when it comes to gaming workloads. This faster gaming performance comes at a cost, however, as 3D V-cache CPUs aren’t able to clock as high on the CPU cores. This brings synthetic and single-core performance down significantly.
Ryzen 9 7950X3D launch date
It has been revealed that the Ryzen 7000X3D series will be launching this year, but staggered.
The first CPUs will be launched in February and the remaining CPU will launch in April. According to AMD, the 7900X3D and 7950X3D will launch on February 28th, and the remaining 7800X3D will release on April 6th, 2023.
There’s a lot of speculation as to why AMD chose to release the 7000X3D series this way, but some have suspected that poor sales of the higher SKUs in recent times have something to do with it.
