Update – 17/03/2021 –Intel Has officially announced the Intel 11th Gen processors, more specifically the i9. The 11900 and K variants are set to be released on the 30th of March. From the i9-11900K all the way down to the i7-11700T, we see 8 cores and 16 threads as expected. Retailers in the UK and US are now starting to show pricing and pre order options for the three main Intel 11th Gen processor SKUs.
AMD undoubtedly took the lead in the CPU race with their Ryzen 5000 launch. Of course, all the major hardware launches of quarter four were plagued with stock issues, leaving many crying “paper launch”. With the introduction of Intel’s highly anticipated Rocket Lake series processors, today we are going to be looking at where to buy the flagship i9-11900 & i9-11900K.

Bear in mind that the above specs are from an engineering sample that could run at much lower frequencies than we’ll probably see with final silicon.
We now have an official release date for the Intel i9-11900(K) with it expected to come out on the 30th of March 2021. There is a bit of confusion around this though as we have heard retailers in Germany were selling this SKU around 3-4 weeks ago. It is also currently possible to purchase the locked i9 variant in the UK at the moment with some retailers, so your best bet is to keep trying.
Intel i9-11900(K) Price & Pre Order
Whilst the pricing of the i9-11900(K) is not yet known, we can draw some conclusions based on the current 10th-gen model.
The current 10th-gen i9-10900 retails for around $479.99, while the K variant retails for $50 more at $529.99. We expect Intel to price their flagship processors around this at most but due to the fierce competition from AMD, we could see a more competitive price to compete with the fabled Ryzen 5900X.
