MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 release date & MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021 release date

Following the Apple Unleashed event on 10/18/2021 we were informed that both the MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 and MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021 would be available the following week of the event. This means we can expect the official release date of the MacBook Pro 2021 to be October 25, 2021 or later that same week, though you can pre order them now to be the first to get your hands on it.

The MacBook Pro 2021 pre order is now live! Following the Apple Unleashed event on October 18, 2021, the MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 pre order and MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021 pre order are both available. You can pre order both from the Apple website, or alternatively wait to see if you can get a better deal from the retailers listed below.

New M1X MacBook Pro 2021 specifications

Below is a list of the latest rumors of the specs of both the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021. Again, we will have to wait until the October Apple Event before these are confirmed.

CPU & GPU – There will be various upgrade options for the core specs of both sizes of the MacBook Pro 2021, but the entry-level MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 will come with a 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU, with the option of upgrading to a 32-core GPU.
RAM & Storage – The entry-level verison of the MacBook Pro 14-inch 2021 will come with a 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM, and higher spec options offering up to 4TB of storage and a whopping 64GB RAM for creatives users and the like.
Display – Both the 14″ and 16″ versions of the new laptop come with the same 120Hz mini-LED backlit display as the iPad pro. The new screens use Liquid Retina XDR, meaning they can display the latest generation HDR media, for both viewing and even editing with a very impressive 1000 nits of sustained brightness and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio.
Ports – The new 2021 MacBooks will have an increased number of ports compared to the preceding versions, which is welcome news. Both will come with three Thunderbolt USB C ports (which you can charge through), a new MagSafe port, a HDMI port, and an SD card reader (which will be exciting news for videogrpahers and photographers in particular) and also a headphone jack which supports high-impedance headphones.
Webcam – Both sizes will come with a 1080p webcam with a wider aperature.
Audio – Well known for having the best laptop speakers around, the latest MacBook pushes things even further with a new 6 speaker system (on both the 14″ and 16″). Of these speakers, the tweeters (for treble and mids) and woofers (for the bass) have both been improved, with 80% more bass and audio which can go half an octave deeper.
