Will Modern Warfare 2 Beta Be Extended?
No. While the Call Of Duty open beta started on September 16th if you’d pre ordered the game, and continued until today, there are no plans to extend the beta. Servers are set to close at 6 PM tonight for all players.
It’s not all bad news though…
All PlayStation players, in addition to Xbox, Battle.net, and Steam Early Access players, will receive access to the open beta on September 22nd this month, until the 23rd. This beta will then open up to all players on September 24th, and close on September 26th.
UPDATE: The closed beta has been extended by two hours, meaning it closes at 8 PM BST!

The beta dates for Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 are as follows:

- Weekend One (PlayStation Exclusive)- September 18th- September 20th (Open Beta)

As you can see, there’s not long to wait now before you can get back online and practice on the new maps. After these dates, you’ll have to wait until the game releases next month, so it’s well worth trying it out if you can so you can find out if the game is for you.
