The Last Of Us Part 1 is finally coming to PC this week, ending what has felt like an eternal wait for the PC release. And despite many of the games’ details already known from the console release back in September 2022, many as still asking; will Last Of Us Part 1 support the ultrawide aspect ratio?
In short, the answer is yes – confirmed by a Last Of Us Part 1 YouTube video posted on the Official PlayStation channel.
We’ll post the YouTube video below so you can get all the details yourself – alongside details of the market’s best ultrawide gaming monitors if you fancy upgrading your system.
PlayStation confirm that Last Of Us Part 1 will support ultrawide aspect ratios
In an official PlayStation blog post about the game’s features and specs, PlayStation again confirms that the game will support 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t state whether or not this will lead to an increased field of view – however, we can strongly say that a greater FOV will likely be the case.
Here’s what PlayStation had to say: “Through the experiences of Joel and Ellie, PC players can fully immerse themselves in beautiful yet haunting environments in stunning detail with true 4K resolutions**. From the harsh, oppressive streets of the Boston QZ to the overgrown and abandoned homes of Bill’s Town to so much more, embark on a beautiful journey across the United States of America with Ultra-Wide Monitor Support for both 21:9 Ultrawide and 32:9 Super Ultrawide aspect ratios.”
We launched the game to double check the aspect ratio support, and here are the results:
