A new Windows OS seems like it might be a ways away but we have seemingly been granted a screenshot from the prolific leak site Deskmodder. Could Windows 12 have leaked?

Now Read: How to install Windows

Deskmodder seemingly has information about the next Windows 12 system requirements, and at first glance, it looks like it’s going to be fairly similar to Windows 11. However, there are some hefty regulations on CPUs.

Windows 12 design leaked

Below is an image of the potential Windows 12 leak. Whilst this screenshot is clearly taken in an early development stage, it does still look an awful lot like Windows 11.

Windows 12 screenshot

Here we can see the screenshot, which is very reminiscent of Windows 11, however, there are some very key differences here.

The search bar is now in the top center of the screen, and apparently according to the article on Deskmodder, will include AI integration, much to the way the world is moving. Especially since the launch of ChatGPT.

The Windows 12 design layout seems to be leaning even more toward an IOS-style layout, with simpler Icons and a cleaner interface. Windows 11 took a step towards becoming a Mac, and hardcore Windows users weren’t too happy. We look forward to seeing how the release of Windows 12 pans out.

All hope is not lost for those hardcore windows fans, however, as Deskmooder indicates that there will most likely be customization options for the UI, hopefully allowing for larger levels of customization that we see on Windows 11.

This screenshot to us looks like it could be Windows 12 on a mobile platform, it just gives us that kind if reading. However, we could be wrong. Microsoft has been leaning towards integrating mobile and desktop functionality since Windows 8.

Windows 12 system requirements speculation

Windows 12 is expected to maintain most of the system requirements found in Windows 11, including at least two CPU cores operating at 1GHz, 64GB of storage, UEFI, DirectX 12, WDDM 2.0 compatibility, and a 720p display. However, Microsoft may recommend increasing the amount of memory from 4GB to 8GB.

It’s important to note that Intel’s 8th Generation or AMD’s Zen 2 processors are necessary for Windows 12, as they are the oldest models supporting TPM 2.0, which is essential for the latest versions of the Windows operating system. Much to the distress of people still stuck on Windows 10 due to TMP faults.

As with previous versions of Windows, Microsoft’s recommendations for system requirements may not reflect the minimum necessary for booting the OS. For instance, while Windows 11 recommends 4GB of RAM, it can still operate with as little as 2GB or 3GB, albeit at a reduced performance level.

Fortunately, official information regarding Windows 12 should become available soon, as it is slated for release next year, provided everything goes according to plan. Windows 12 leaked? Or is this a windows 11 service pack type of deal? Let us know what you think.
