YuGiOh Master Duel just received a new update earlier today which includes a number of changes to the monetization system. Master Duel is one of the latest hit games by Konami but despite launching on multiple platforms, Konami did not get its monetization system right. The developers are trying to make the game more accessible by introducing affordable pre-built decks in the Shop.

What to Expect From YuGiOh Master Duel’s February 17 Update?

Added the new Rage of Cipher structure deck. This is a deck based on XYZ and is still under evaluation, but will eventually be available for the XYZ event. Other new items have also been added to the shop which players can purchase. There are no new cards as part of the new update but Konami is expected to add a host of expansions in future updates similar to how the physical card game constantly receives expansions.

YuGiOh Master Duel February 17 Update Patch Notes

Here are the highlights of the new YuGiOh Master Duel patch:

  • Added a new solo gate for players to complete for rewards.
  • Login to the game today and win up to 800 Gems as part of the new login rewards
  • As part of an effort to improve server connection, Duel Rooms, Replays, and Match History data will be removed.

The new update brings some great additions to the in-game shop. The login rewards should also help players accelerate their progression and earn new cards. To check out the full patch notes, click here.
