Does iOS 16 support iPhone 7? In short: no, we are sorry to say.
Apple officially released the iOS 16 in the September of 2022. The beta version was made available way before that. It is the latest version of iOS and has some new mind-blowing features. You may have been eagerly waiting to check out this new iteration. Sadly, it might not run on your iPhone.
As usual, Apple has released a new version of iOS, but they are pulling out the support for a few older devices, including the iPhone 7 Series. iPhones older than the iPhone 8 will not support iOS 16, including the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus.
This decision surprised a lot of iPhone users as users, but sadly the support for the iPhone 7 series ends with the iOS 15 (though this older operating system is still receiving updates from Apple).
If you are still trying to decode if iOS 16 will run on your iPhone or the iPhone model you own, you can easily check it from the settings of your iPhone and confirm your suspicion. Open the Settings of your iPhone. Navigate to General and tap About. On the “about” page, you will see your iPhone type beside Model Name, and you will find the Model Number below it. Or you can check the list below of compatible devices.
