Elden Ring leads the pack of the nominations for the Gamescom 2021 awards, as you can see below.
There is some debate as to whether or not we’re likely to see Elden Ring feature in the first day of Gamescom, which is August 24, 2021 and devoted to Xbox titles, however given the big reveal of the game occurred at the Xbox Summer Game Fest 2021, this could definitely be possible.

Gamescom 2021 Awards Nominees
The following is a full list of all the Gamescom 2021 Awards Nominees. You will note that Elden Ring has been nominated for a massive 5 separate awards! These include Best Microsoft Xbox Game, Best PC Game, Best Sony PlayStation Game, Best Action Adventure Game, and Best Roleplaying Game.
Each nomination is put together by ‘an international jury comprised of games experts, journalists, and content creators’ although there has been some criticism by gaming fans of the award categories and the selections themselves for several years now – the implication being that both are picked, at least partially, for marketing and publicity reasons than as an honest way of finding the best games.
Whatever the truth of this may be, Gamescom 2021 looks set to be a great year for Elden Ring!
