Another week, and we’re back with our Friday Freebie feature, bringing you the very best of all the free games up for grabs. As always, these are 100% free and are yours to download and play at your discretion.

Epic Games is giving away two games this week. All you’ll need to claim them is an Epic Games Store account and few spare minutes.

EnterTheGungeon1

First up, we have Enter The Gungeon. While it may not have the pedigree of some of the AAA titles Epic has handed out in recent times, the dungeon crawler has secured itself a firm berth as one of the leading stars of the indie scene in the last few years.

Self-described as a bullet hell roguelike, Enter The Gungeon has players descend into the depths of the Gungeon in search of an elusive gun that can ‘kill the past.’ The task won’t be easy as players contend with all manner of gun-totting Gundeads and must make their way through a labyrinthine procedurally-generated fortress.

Loot, secrets, and scaling difficulty – Enter The Gungeon has everything you’d expect from a dungeon crawler worth its salt, aided by an adorable pixel art aesthetic that rather counter-intuitively lends itself perfectly to its chaotic and destructive gameplay.

If you’re looking for a game that’s easy to pick up and oozing with re-playability, Enter The Gungeon is worth at least a try. After all, it is free.

GodsTrigger1

Next up, we have God’s Trigger, a gruesome top-down shooter in the vein of the acclaimed Hotline Miami. It’s balletic violence in action, a stylish power fantasy with a surprising amount of freedom when it comes to dispatching enemies in all manner of creative ways. God’s Trigger is all about violence, speed, and precision and is best suited to those that need to let off some steam in style after a testing week.

Here’s what developer One More Level has to say about God’s Trigger:

“When an Angel and a Demon team up to kill their way into Heaven and stop the apocalypse, bullets will fly and blood will be shed. Play solo or in with a friend and burst through a room in a matter seconds killing enemies with a bucketload of weapons, special abilities, and melee options in a show of blood and explosions! Kill enemies in the most graphic way possible! Make split-second decisions, dodge bullets and inflict violence in a highly stylized, fast-paced bloodbath. Each character brings their own unique powers. With a treasure trove of weapons and customizable special abilities you have the means to annihilate your enemies in just the way you like.”

Both Enter The Gungeon and God’s Trigger are available on the Epic Games Store until Thursday, August 27th, 2020. Remember to claim them before then, and they are yours to keep forever.

Looking to the week ahead, the Epic Games Store’s next haul of freebies promises to be a big one, spearheaded by the stealthy antics of IO Interactive’s acclaimed Hitman, and accompanied by Shadowrun Collection.
