Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is the latest video game adaptation of Kazuki Takahashi’s hit manga, anime and card game battle franchise that started all the way back in 1996. It’s another entry in the game series by long term series developer Konami, who have promised a free-to-play game that will feature over 10,000 cards including fan-favourites like Blue Eyes White Dragon, the Dark Magician and Exodia.

The new game will use the official Master Rules, ban list and card designs from the physical Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and will allow for games to be played competitively online. Master Duel will be especially useful to the competitive scene, as official tournaments have been put on hold as of late and no up to date digital alternative to the in-person version of the game currently exists.

Konami has promised that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be at Tokyo Game Show 2021. It’s likely they’ll detail the new features of the game and it’s systems as a large part of their digital presentation content, which should also feature an appearance from eFootball 2022.

Where can I watch Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel at TGS 2021?

You can watch Konami’s Tokyo Game Show content on the official TGS Youtube channel on September 30, 2021, but we can’t promise it will be subtitled. We are certain that Yu-Gi-Oh! and Konami’s video and social media channels will also post the video to keep duelists around the world up to date.

When is the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel release date?

We don’t currently know the release date for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, but we think it should be out before the Christmas sales rush. It’s likely that we’ll learn the release date at the Tokyo Game Show.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, Nintendo Switch, Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. There’s been no word on whether the game will feature cross-progression or cross-play between platforms yet.

Can I pre-order Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel?

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is a free to play game, so it’s likely it won’t have a physical release that you can throw your money at ahead of time. That’s a bit of a shame, as the boxed releases typically include exclusive collectible cards that can be used for the real game.
