There has been a leak over on Twitter, pertaining to a surprising advancement in the AM4 CPUs space. This isn’t something many of us were expecting from AMD, although, we have our reasons as to why we think this has happened. Here’s how a Leaked Ryzen 5 5600X3D suggests the possible best value AM4 CPU for gaming.

Possible AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D leaked

This leak comes to us from @g01d3nm4ng0 or chi11eddog on Twitter. The Tweet reads as follows:

Source: chi11eddog/Twitter

The leak suggests that the 5600X3D is going to be a pretty beefy CPU despite it belonging to the Ryzen 5 family. Here’s a closer look of the suspected Ryzen 5 5600X3D:

Ryzen 5 5600X3D possible leak

As we can see, the suspected Ryzen 5 5600X3D is pretty well equipped, even against the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The 5600X3D is just 100MHz off the 5800X3D in both base and boost speeds, however, it does possess fewer cores and threads, thanks to belonging to the Ryzen 5 family as opposed to the Ryzen 7.

Depending on the price of this possible Ryzen 5 5600X3D, it could make for a better gaming option than the 5800X3D on the AM4 platform.

Ryzen 5 5600X3D speculations

We’re going to speculate on a few things now, regarding the 5600X3D.

It’s possible that the 5600X3D has come about based on 5800X3D components that didn’t make it through QC or weren’t up to scratch to be 5800X3Ds. This helps to reduce waste in both a profit sense for AMD and a waste sense in terms of the environment. Which we’re thankful for.

It’s pretty likely that the 5600X3D is going to be built on the same architecture as the 5600X. This implies a couple of things;

There will most likely be no overclocking available on the 5600X3D. As 3D V-cache is sensitive to high temperatures. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D is also locked to overclocking making this possibility likely.

The 5600X3D will feature a single CCD, making the clock speeds will be lower than that of the 5600X. AMD’s 5600X sits at 3.7 base and 4.6 boost, whereas the 5600X3D clocks in at 3.3 base and 4.4 boost. Making the single CCD scenario likely.

Final Word

This case looks very similar to that of the 5800X3D, take a base 5600X and slap some 3D V-cache on there. It’s obviously far more complicated than that, but it’s obvious AMD isn’t going to reinvent the wheel here.

This CPU most likely exists to cut down on waste from the 5800X3D, as the components going into the 5600X3D were once designed to comprise the 580X3D but were rejected for various reasons.

Whatever the reason, it brings value to gamers. we’re all for it. There’s still a large number of people still rocking AM4 motherboards, so this CPU will definitely be beneficial should it be real. Leaked Ryzen 5 5600X3D suggests possible best value AM4 CPU
