Are you a fan of simulation racing mixed with huge trucks smashing together? Well then, it sounds like the upcoming Monster Truck game will be right up your street.
Monster Truck Championship is a new sim racing title “Coming Soon” from developer Teyon and publisher Nacon. This is the first realistic truck racing simulation to showcase the power of monster trucks.
A new gameplay trailer has recently been released, so take a look at some of the action below.
This title is described as a “unique and challenging motor racing experience”. You can play local or online with 16 customisable trucks, 25 arenas and 3 leagues to see who will be crowned champion.
With a more realistic approach to racing than you’d see in your average arcade-style game, Monster Truck Championship is a unique simulation experience. Monster Truck gives players the opportunity to fly through the air aboard a massive truck, while completing gravity-defying moves and learning the unique physics for each vehicle.
This sim racing game gives you realistic handling of the vehicles including front and rear wheel control and adjustment of things such as the engine, gearbox or suspension so you’ve got full control.
Online and Career Modes
Monster Truck Championship has a couple of different modes for you to try out. First of all, there’s the online mode for you and up to 8 other players to race around.
Another mode is a fully-fledged Career Mode which involves everything from managing your vehicle and working with technicians to improve your performance to negotiating with sponsors.
Switch Between Racing to Smashing Trucks Up
Monster Truck Championship has a few different challenges you can take part in, depending on where the mood takes you. You can sit down for a simple race with other drivers or engage in some good old fashioned destruction.
Race - The aim is simply to finish in first place after several laps with eight other drivers.
Time Trial - Where you can set new time records.
Drag Races - This is a competition against one other driver on a smaller section of the track.
Freestyle - Perform as many weird and wonderful tricks as you’d like. Climb the walls, jump over a line of cars and crash into other trucks to your heart’s content.
Destruction - Finally, a reward for smashing things! You’ll get rewards for destroying as many obstacles as possible. Sounds like a great way to let off some steam.
Switch Camera View to Admire Your Stunts
When you’re completing stunts, the camera is usually placed so you can admire your moves from the best angle. Sometimes you’ll even get some slow motion to appreciate it properly.
However, if you want a bit more immersion in this game, you can switch to the cockpit camera and feel what it’s like to soar above the track while completing death-defying stunts.
Monster Trucks will be available from October this year and is coming to PS4, Xbox One and Steam. Later on, a Nintendo Switch version will also be available .
