Dimensional Ink Games has launched a brand new episode for decade-old free-to-play MMO DC Universe Online.
Dubbed Episode 38: Wonderverse, the episode will have players join forces to with the Council of Wonder Women alongside different manifestations of the DC Universe staple pulled from five different universes, including Nubia, Flashpoint Wonder Woman, Red Son Wonder Woman, and more.
Here’s the official scene-setting blurb that’s all world-saving, warring gods, and merging universes:
“In WONDERVERSE, the Source Wall has cracked and the multiverse is collapsing. The Amazons awake to find a Themyscira dimensionally-patchworked as their universes merge. The Sphere of the Gods is in ruins, and so the Greek Gods and the New Gods – in fact, all gods – desperately seek fragments of the Source Wall to reclaim their power.
However, if the multiverse is to survive, our Diana – our Wonder Woman – knows the only chance is to collect those fragments to repair the Source Wall. She must face the gods and overcome their greed, and she knows she cannot do it alone. Answering her call are the players, heroes and villains alike recognizing the severity of the situation, and…the Wonder Women of the other collapsing universes!”
Wonderverse packs in new daily and weekly missions, Normal and Elite (level 30 and 299 Combat Rating required) raids, raid-like world bosses, and alert content, which you can find descriptions for below:
The episode also features a limited-time special ‘event’ version of all the new content that players can find under the Events tab in-game. This is open to all players regardless of level.
Finally, Wonderverse packs in new gear, base items, and feats, including new currencies Splintered Coins and Empyrean Aether, Augments, Artifacts, new gear inspired by Grail and the Amazons, and more.
The update is completely free and available now to players on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
