After years of waiting, Razer fans now have the option of selecting AMD processors with their Razer laptops.

AMD’s Ryzen CPUs have edged significantly ahead of Intel’s efforts since 2020, and although some Intel CPUs retain a lead, generally AMD’s are favored when it comes to laptops, both in terms of performance and battery efficiency.

Although there is no news yet as to whether Razer will be incorporating AMD Radeon graphics cards in their laptops, this has generally been of less interest to consumers, as Nvidia still have the edge overall in the GPU race. Nevertheless, the recent AMD Advantage standard that AMD are pushing for laptops that come equipped with both their CPUs and GPUs do promise some technological efficiencies, for both performance and battery life: if this proves to be a significant advantage then perhaps in the future we will see some all-AMD Razer Blades.
