Today, Acer has announced a refresh to their increasingly popular gaming desktop portfolio – bringing enhancements to the Predator Orion 300 and Nitro 50 gaming desktops.
Both ranges will now feature the latest Intel 11th Gen or AMD Ryen 5000 series processors, as well as Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs – not to mention a whole host of additional minor upgrades too.
Predator Orion 3000
The Predator Orion desktop has been designed for gamers that don’t want to compromise on anything – and it’s clear to see that message with the hardware Acer has decided to implement in the latest iteration. At its heart, the Predator Orion 3000 will boast an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor alongside an equally as impressive RTX 3070 – giving gamers the freedom to play pretty much any title they choose. Alongside fantastic gaming performance, users will also be able to perform some fairly substantial multitasking scenarios – such as editing and streaming.
Ensuring the new Orion 3000 stays cool, Acer has equipped it with a 92×92 mm custom-engineered ForstBlade cooling solution. Furthermore, the Orion 3000 will also feature a range of USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (Type-A, Type-C) and DTS:X ultra audio support. You can also choose the optional EMI-compliant and tempered side glass panel for a better aesthetic finish. It will also feature 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD (1TB x 2) and up to 6TB HDD.
The Predator Orion 3000 will be available in Northern America come July and will start from $1,199.
Acer Nitro 50
The Nitro 50 (N50-120 AMD or N50-620 Intel) series has been tailored towards gamers who want to see improvement in every area. Whether you’re looking for better gameplay, extra features, or a more immersive experience, the Nitro 50 should offer something for you.
The new desktop models will feature AMD Ryzen 500 series or Intel 11th Gen Core i7 processors – enabling them to handle most games and some heft workloads. Each will also come equipped with the latest RTX 3060 Ti graphics, great for gamers who are looking to pay this with a high refresh rate monitor. It will come in a black metal case that offers decent cooling thanks to an efficient cooling solution. Furthermore, the Nitro 50 will support 64GB of DDR4 3200Mhz memory, a tonne of storage (3TB x 2), and M.2 support as well.
The Acer Nitro 50 will be available in North America in the next couple of months – with start prices being looking to be within the $900 region.
