GTA Online and Red Dead Online Getting New Updates

Over the past few months, online gaming has surged in popularity. Both Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Redemption Online have seen huge numbers in recent months, according to a recent blog post from Rockstar Games.

As a result, Rockstar Games has announced that both games will receive brand new updates in the coming weeks.

GTA Online Updates

GTA Online will be getting a new summer update which will offer up “a fun mix of diverse new content from the game’s massive array of experiences to enjoy.”

For GTA Online, it looks like we’ll see a new take on Heists and even a brand new location which should make for some interesting new content to check out.

Other than this, details are pretty vague so we’re not really sure what else to expect. We will just have to wait and see.

Red Dead Online Updates

Red Dead fans also look like they’re getting a “massive new update” sooner rather than later. The new Red Dead Online update is coming in just a few days on Tuesday, July 28th.

This new update will feature a new Frontier Pursuit which will introduce Red Dead fans to the wonders of naturalism as part of an all-new Role. There’s also a new Outlaw Pass and plenty of community-requested features and bug fixes packed into this update.

The Rockstar team even promises that there will be “much more to play and discover in the months to come”.

Rockstar Says Thanks for the Feedback

Rockstar Games also took some time in their blog to thank fans of the games for submitting feedback through the official channels. They say they have added lots of requested features across these new updates. Yes – even musical instruments in Red Dead Online.

Rockstar promises that while you might not see your requested feature in this new update, it could very well be coming soon over the next few weeks or months.

The development team is still encouraging feedback, so if you’ve ever had a burning desire to see something new in either game, head over to the GTA Online or Red Dead Online feedback pages.

Web Reporting Tools

Aside from feedback, Rockstar is also encouraging people to come forward with reports on cheaters, hackers or harassers to keep the online community safe. You can do this with Rockstar’s web reporting tools on the GTA Online and Red Dead Online pages.

“So far this year, we have taken action on hundreds of thousands of players caught violating community rules across both games.”

It looks like we’ll have some regular content updates to keep an eye on and we’ll try to keep you updated as they’re released.
