HP Unveils Two Refreshed Additions To The OMEN Lineup With The 25L And 30L

HP has unveiled a duo of new gaming rigs it’s releasing under the OMEN umbrella, available in either Intel Comet Lake-S and AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU variants.

Dubbed the 25L and 30L alluding to their internal capacity, these are refreshed iterations with upped specifications and a brand new, sleek design, which is a welcome departure from the questionable aesthetic of HP’s previous OMEN offering.

In particular, HP has retooled the chassis with a more refined look and striking black color scheme alongside tempered glass panels, a full-metal frame, and complete RGB control. The tempered panels are also toolless for easy maintenance and upgrading.

With better cooling in mind, HP has also upped the height of the chassis feet to 15 mm. The front is also fitted with a Cooler Master 120mm RGB Fan. The location of the GPU has also changed to improve airflow.

Both models are available with up to a 10th-Gen Intel Core i9-10900K or AMD Ryzen 9 3900 CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon 5700 XT GPU. Customization options also run up to 32 GB of HyperX Fury DDR4-3200 MHz RAM, a 1TB WD Black M.2 NVMe SSD, and a range of Cooler Master PSUs.

That’s really only scratching the surface as there’s a dizzying array of options from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA as well as secondary/third storage, networking, and software to choose from for what HP calls its most customizable desktop to date.

Connectivity-wise, both models offer two SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps and a headphone/microphone combo, and microphone jack on the front, while the rear outputs include four SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps, one SuperSpeed USB Type-A 10Gbps, and SuperSpeed USB Type-C 10Gbs, DVI-D, HDMI, and DisplayPort.

Pricing for the 25L starts at $899.99, which will bag you an Intel Core i5-10400/AMD Ryzen 5 3500, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650/AMD Radeon RX 500, 8GB of HyperX Fury RAM, a 256GB SSD, and 500 W Cooler Master Bronze CPU.

You’ll need to fork out a bit more for the bigger 30L, starting at $1,199.99. The entry 30L model includes an AMD Ryzen 3600 CPU, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU, 8 GB of HyperX Fury RAM, a 256 GB SSD, and a 500 W Cooler Master Bronze CPU. Prices quickly jump upwards if you start including Intel and NVIDIA’s top of the line products.

For those interested, both the HP OMEN 25L and 30L are on sale from today, May 5th, although delivery will take a least a month based on a mock order we played around with on HP’s website.
