With the release of VIVE XR Elite, we can’t help but wonder, is VIVE XR Elite 4K? The much-hyped standalone VR headset by HTC is one of the most anticipated releases this year, in the world of VR gaming.

This next-gen VR headset has broken all the barriers as it does not rely on a base station. It is a standalone unit that you can connect to your phone or PC wirelessly and dive into the virtual world. It also has an RGB pass-through camera, a 90-Hz refresh rate, and a 110 degrees field of view.

But is VIVE XR Elite 4K? In this article, we will reveal whether the VIVE XR Elite comes with a 4K resolution.

Is VIVE XR Elite 4K? Yes, horizontally, at least

Yes. The VIVE XR Elite comes packed with 4K resolution. It has 4K LCD screens with a 2K resolution for each eye. It delivers incredibly immersive graphics with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a 110-degree field of view.

It’s worth noting here that there is some confusion here as neither of the lenses are individually capable of of a 4K (3840×2160) resolution. However, combining the two lenses nets you a total of 3840×1920, so the horizontal resolution is 4K, but the vertical resolution technically is not. Though, in our opinion it doesn’t really matter as additional vertical resolution would be wasted due to the hum an having a very low vertical field of view.

The 4K LCD screen with a wide 110 FOV offers extremely crisp and sharp visuals. What’s more, it comes with adjustable lenses for those wearing glasses. The Integrated Diopters in VIVE XR Elite makes it possible for glasses wearers to adjust the settings according to their eyesight and enjoy VR without having to put on their glasses.

How cool, right? You can manually adjust the diopters to get a sharp image without any problem. It even works with astigmatism.

So enjoy 4K visuals on your VIVE XR Elite, one of the best displays offered by a standalone VR headset in the market.
