With the Battlefield 2042 official launch fast approaching, more and more leaks keep appearing, much to the delight of every Battlefield fan on the planet. One of the more recent was a Battlefield playtest leak from a few weeks ago, showing in-game multiplayer gameplay in both video and screenshot format. The footage gave us a taste of a few different weapons, animations, and some vehicle action too! Initially, we only had some epic-looking Battlefield 2042 screenshots, however, they weren’t really a true representation of how the game looked.

recently, we had the ammo types revealed from a new leak and it looks as though an open beta is coming soon, possibly in September!

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Leak

Rumors have it that the Battlefield Beta is scheduled to start sometime in September, possibly even as soon as the weekend beginning the 4th! With the game set for release in October, Battlefield fans can’t wait for an open beta to test the game out and I imagine DICE can’t wait either.

What you may remember is that if you pre order Battlefield 2042, you get early access to the beta, meaning it could be here as soon as tomorrow (2nd Sept). This is all speculation at the moment, however, we know for sure there is going to be a beta coming out over the coming month.

How To Play The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta

Seeing as it is an open beta, we are all welcome to come along and join the party. As mentioned, those with preorders will get early access but the beta could be available to download in a matter of days.  Keep your eye out in console digital stores and Origin/ Steam, or Epic Games for PC.

Battlefield 2042 Ammo Types Revealed

Fresh leaks have shown us what ammunition types we can expect when the game finally launches. One ammo type that caught the eye was explosive ammo but it doesn’t stop there.

Magazines will come in light, medium, or heavy with extended & drum magazines available.

Ammo Types

  • Subsonic
  • Incendiary
  • Explosive
  • Armor Piercing
  • Ranged
  • Buckshot
  • Short Buckshot

Explosive and Incindeary rounds are certainly the ones to watch, it will be interesting to see how DICE balance this type of ammunition.
