Nvidia Game Ready driver update 511.65 adds support for Dying Light 2 & new mobile GPUs

Nvidia are back at it again with the latest release of their drivers. GeForce Game Ready driver 511.65 comes with a host of new features, although they’re not quite as large as some might expect when looking for huge updates, they add a couple of handy features nonetheless. Here are a couple of the highlights that we’re about to go through with you right here, right now.
Dying Light 2 Ray Tracing & DLSS support
The latest driver adds support for Ray tracing, in addition to Nvidia DLSS, which allows you to use Direct X 12 Ultimate. This ensures that when you boot up Dying Light 2 for the first time, you’ll not only get the best possible graphics, but the best possible performance too, especially with Nvidia DLSS in tow, which can boost your performance in-game by multitudes. As for Dying Light 2, you’ll just have to wait and see with our impending review for our verdict on Techland’s latest free-roaming zombie apocalypse wasteland. Additionally, this driver also adds support for Sifu, which releases on February 8.

Support for RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti laptops
You can expect a hefty amount of performance from the latest flagship graphics chipsets, with 4th generation Max-Q technology built-in to these brand-new mobile GPUs. Though don’t let that put you off, with the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti monikers, you can expect these to deliver excellent gaming performance on the go. Nvidia told us in a press release that over 160 models of laptops are now using the RTX 30 series, and you’ll now be able to eke out even more performance with this latest driver from Nvidia.
Fixed issues in 511.65
- Windows11 & Far Cry 6: Geometric corruption occurs in the benchmark and in gameplay.
- Multiple apps report stutter (or light to poor hitching) due to allocation creation.
- Notebook: With Advanced Optimus configured in dGPU mode, notebook will display a black screen.
- Some 3440×1440 monitors may display a black screen when selecting a DLDSR resolution.
- DirectX 12: GeForce Experience Freestyle filters may cause game to flicker.
- Forza Horizon 5: The game freezes when applying livery or vinyl to certain cars when ray tracing is enabled.
Known issues in 511.65
- NVIDIA Ampere GPU: With the GPU connected to an HDMI 2.1 audio/video receiver, audio may drop out when playing back Dolby Atmos.
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed may crash on courses where players drive through water.
- NVIDIA Advanced Optimus & NVIDIA Control Panel: After setting the display multiplexer type to “dGPU”, the setting is not preserved across a reboot or resume from S4.
- Call of Duty: Vanguard: The game may display random corruption.
- Battlefield 2042: The game may display color flashes on the screen.
- DVI monitor EDID may not be detected correctly on certain monitors.
