Update – 16th August: Still no mention if there is going to be another Beta to playtest Halo Infinite yet but we’d love to see more keys get offered out to test the servers.
Halo Infinite is set to launch later this year and the official beta test went live recently. Unfortunately, it was more or less just a test and the beta was mostly only against bots but it gave great insight into how the general mechanics are going to feel on release. The beta featured weapon drills in the Academy training mode and it allowed playtesting on three different maps.
When Is The Halo Infinite Beta Coming Out?
Unfortunately, the Halo Infinite Beta has been and gone, running from Tuesday, July 29th till Monday, August 2nd. The beta took place on Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC.
Yes, however, we are unsure as to whether the rumors around another beta testing session are set to happen. It is anticipated that another could come before the final launch, possibly sometime in early September. To keep afloat with all things Halo Infinite Beta, it is a good idea to sign up to Halo Insider and check your profile on Halo Waypoint to see if you have been chosen for yet another fight.
We are speculating but we expect to see more Arena PvP action if there is another beta. We also think they will test out the new Big Team Battle with 24 players to see how it runs. With this new game mode, we may also see a few new maps thrown into the beta to cater to the larger player size. Two maps we know about are Behemoth and Fragmentation based on the trailer, so fingers crossed.
As many halo fans know, for it to be an actual big team battle, we are going to need vehicles, so it would be excellent to see vehicles featured in the Halo Infinite Beta too.
What To Expect From The Halo Infinite Beta
The beta is going to thrust you straight into the game’s sandbox, action-charged multiplayer experience. Classic Arena modes are set to feature, along with the new Big Team battle, which will have 24 players battling it out. Campaign content may feature in the beta at some stage but this is another rumor that we can only wish comes true.
The initial technical preview focused on stress tests for Halo Infinite servers but also showcased a few other areas:
Arena maps, including Bazaar, Recharge, and Live Fire
Gameplay Vs Bots, players take on bots on the three maps mentioned above, getting you used to the Halo Academy
PVP, On August 1st, players could battle it out against each other for a short time
Weapon drills, through Halo Academy, players could practice with a wide selection of weapons on Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite Multiplayer Release Date
Halo Infinite is expected to be released around mid-November 2021. November is a classical date for Halo releases, sitting in that American holiday period.
We are keeping our ear to the ground with the Halo Infinite Beta to see if we are going to get another chance to get back in the fight once more. While it looks as though the sign-up for the beta is over, we are unsure at this stage what developers 343 Industries are going to do next.
