The iPhone 14 Pre Order date was finally confirmed at the Apple Event 2022 as Friday 9th September, 2022. This applies to both the iPhone 14 standard version and the new iPhone 14 Plus variant (which is the version one level above), also to the iPhone 14 Pro, and most expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The full iPhone 14 release date/shipping date for the pre-ordered iPhones is Friday 16th September for the standard iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max; with the iPhone 14 Plus release date / delivery date for pre orders being on 7th October.

iPhone 14 pre order date
Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, was originally thought to be a bit on the early side for the iPhone event, however a couple of weeks ago Mr. Mark Gurman further cemented his credentials as the pre-eminant Apple leaker, when he said his sources at Apple divulged said date. The man clearly knows what he’s talking about as Apple have since confirmed said date.
Though it’s never 100% guaranteed, in almost every year they have released a new iPhone, Apple launch the device earlier in the week (typically Tuesday, this time Wednesday) and pre orders open that same Friday. Apple confirmed our prediction as correct, and the iPhone 14 pre order date is on Friday 9th September.
iPhone 14 Plus pre order & iPhone 14 Pro pre order?
The iPhone 14 Plus pre order date was confirmed as the same Friday 9th September as the standard version, even though the release date comes later on 7th October.

The iPhone 14 price was confirmed as $799. The iPhone 14 Plus price was confirmed as $899 at the Apple Event.

Preposterous luxury brand Caviar are actually offering iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max pre orders, assuming you don’t mind spending between $8,840 – $25,700 for the privilege. Previous offerings from the company have included iPhone 13s made with real dinosaur fossils, or reconstituted parts from the original iPhone release. The new raft so far seems to be sticking to the old staples of stingray/crocodile leather, mother of pearl, gold, diamonds, and Class 2 BR-2 armor that ‘can withstand a direct hit of a gunshot’ however.

Given we already know that the iPhone 14 event is happening on Wednesday 7th Sept, it’s likely the shipping/release date for the iPhone 14 will be a week on Friday after – i.e. Friday 16th September.

iPhone 14 production delays?
‘Reliable Apple analyst’ Ming-Chi Kuo has mentioned that he’s seen some indication of production issues with the new iPhone 14, but these seem to be mostly limited to the iPhone 14 Max.
More recently, Ross Young (the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants), has supported this statement, revealing that “iPhone 14 Max panel shipments still way behind through August. Pro volumes >3x higher…”
Still, Ming-Chi believes the iPhone 14 is still on track for a September 2022 release date however, certainly for the main iPhone 14 model, and it should be emphasized that Apple typically go to great lengths to make sure iPhone production matches expectations as closely as possible, to the expense of all other production, given that the iPhone is their most lucrative product.
So, eager customers can still look forward to the standard iPhone 14 pre order in September as planned.
iPhone 14 leak reveals screen shock
