The Radeon RX 6800 XT is currently one of AMD’s most alluring graphics cards in the market.

The RX 6800 XT GPU promises exceptional performance in 1440p and even 4K resolutions as it targets the higher end of the gaming market. It has high bandwidth, ray accelerators, and 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM. It is based on the RDNA 2 architecture.

The XT is built using TSMC’s 7nm technology and the new RDNA2 architecture. In 72 CUs, the GPU has 4608 cores, 288 TMUs, and 128 ROPs. The memory bandwidth is 512GB/s, and the cores can run up to 2250 MHz. There are 16GB of 16Gbps GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit wide memory bus. It supports PCI Express 4.0 and is rated for 300 watts TBP.

Is the 6800 XT good for 1440p?

It offers incredible performance even at the most demanding games thrown at it at 1440p resolution. Even if you don’t turn on the ray tracing, you can observe an improvement in the performance. You can easily achieve three digits frames per second with 6800 XT at 1440p.

The greater VRAM buffer of the Radeon RX 6800 XT is an advantage, and over the long term, this should help it last, even though the RTX 3080 is still a strong card despite being 18 months old.

The 6800 XT’s Smart Access Memory is the single additional significant feature. Performance improvements in some games, when used with a Ryzen 5000 series CPU, can be spectacular, and even with an Alder Lake CPU, we think the improvement can be sizable. Resizable BAR doesn’t seem to help GeForce GPUs nearly as much.

The RX 6800 XT and RTX 3080 graphics card trade blows, as is frequently the case, depending on the game and even the quality settings used. Performance with the Radeon RX 6800 XT is excellent.

The RTX 3080’s performance utterly floored gamers, so you might not be overly optimistic that AMD could match it. However, the most recent Radeons are finally able to catch up to the most recent high-end GeForce GPU releases.
