We’ve previously reported on leaks over AMD’s new GPU leaks, which once purported that the new GPUs could be coming quite soon. We previously reported that the new GPUs will come equipped with upgraded RAM coming in Q3 of this year. We originally pipped these AMD GPUs to be released in April, and we suspect that while these plans have not changed, we could be seeing AMD’s answer to the RTX 3090Ti in the form of the RX 6950 XT. We’ve previously seen reports that conflicted with the existence of other GPUs in the RX 6X50 XT line aside from the RX 6950 XT, but this latest tweet from Greymon 55 says that these GPUs could be announced sooner than we might think.

What will be new with the RX 6X50 GPUs?

According to previous reports, these new GPUs will come with expanded memory modules that promise to reportedly expand on these GPUs capacity, potentially improving overall performance, in addition to improving performance while gaming at higher resolutions. Curiously, we’ve heard rumors of this series of GPU releases, but with conflicting reports of whether or not AMD is going to announce more than one GPU, and only from two sources, it’s difficult to corroborate exactly what GPUs will be released.

One thing we know for certain is that there is going to be an RX 6950 XT. Since then, we’ve heard that there might not be any other GPUs in the line, until now, which reports that an RX 6750 XT could be on the way. It will be unsurprising to see a full stack refresh of all of the GPUs throughout the year. There could also be a potential RX 6850 XT in the works, as we’ve heard before.

Again, this seems like an ideal opportunity for AMD to raise the base MSRP of the GPUs to fall in line with where GPU pricing is currently at, with demand and supply shortages abound. Regardless, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for more people being able to potentially pick up a new GPU of their own, and new releases will help get them into gamers hands. So, until AMD say anything, we’re still pipping this for an announcement and release within the next few months.

It’s a very turbulent time to be a gamer, which means that you’ll be wanting to keep your eyes out on any opportunities in which you might be able to get a GPU. So, we’ve done the hard work, and listed absolutely everywhere that you might be able to find some of these graphics cards that you might be able to get your hands on.
