While not much was known regarding Junker Queen’s abilities, Blizzard has finally lifted the lid on what the hero has to offer – sparking excitement amongst the Overwatch fan base.
The pump action shotgun-wielding hero will dish out damage up close and personal in the new Beta, equipped with a powerful scattergun and Jagged blade combination that can be used in a number of different ways. The wounds dealt out to enemies will not only continuously reduce their health over time but will also heal Junker queen thanks to her Adrenaline Rush passive ability.

Here’s what Overwatch posted on Twitter about Junker Queen’s abilities:
Junker Queen’s abilities
Scattergun and Jagged Blade
There are plenty of exciting new abilities in store for Junker Queen users, including her ability to throw the ax at enemies to deal damage from range. That’s right, it’s not all up close and personal for this versatile hero. The ax can be recoiled by the click of a button to continue the attack on your enemy.
As we’ve already eluded to, the Jagged blade will not only deliver damage over time to enemies but will also heal Junker Queen as well.
Commanding Shout ability
Additionally, Junker Queen will feature a Commanding shout ability which will not only increase her own health but also the health of teammates nearby. That’s not all, using this ability will also grant her a 30% movement speed boost as well.
Rampage Ultimate
Junker Queen’s Ultimate has been coined ‘Rampage’ and will see the new hero charge forward, delivering damage to any enemy players within the vicinity. On top of a good amount of damage, the Rampage Ultimate will also prevent enemy players from healing.
Junker Queen made her official arrival via an Overwatch Cinematic trailer, showcased at an Overwatch 2 event recently. The Mad Max-inspired character looks set to be an instant hit amongst fans of the game and will be playable from June 28th once the Overwatch 2 Beta launches.
Unlike the first Overwatch 2 Beta, the second will feature the arrival of cross-platform functionality. Players will be get a taste of what the new game has to offer, including reworks of favoured characters including; Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion, and Sombra. Of course, several new maps will be available, alongside new heroes that include Junker Queen, Sojourn, and a yet-to-be-named hero.
