How can I guarantee Overwatch 2 Beta access?

There is a way you can take chance out of the equation when it comes to getting access to the Beta and that’s via the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack.

If you aren’t familiar with the Watchpoint Pack for Overwatch 2, it’s basically a paid-for bundle that includes a bunch of cool items and rewards – including guaranteed access to the PvP crossplay Beta on June 28th.

The Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack will set you back a pretty steep $39.99 – however, it does come with exclusive goodies including the following items:

  • Guaranteed access to the Overwatch 2 PvP Crossplay Beta (Beta begins June 28th, 2022)
  • Overwatch: Legendary Edition (includes five (5) Legendary Skins and five (5) Epic Skins)
  • Additional content granted to purchasers at the release of Overwatch 2 on October 4th
  • Premium Battle Pass: Season 1 – Two (2) Overwatch
  • 2 Legendary Hero Skins – Space Raider Soldier 76 and Space Raider Cassidy
  • 2000 Overwatch 2 Virtual Currency – Overwatch
  • 2 Player Icon (Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack pre-purchase exclusive)

Does access carry over from the first Overwatch 2 Beta?

Unfortunately, if you did have access to the first Beta, it will NOT carry over to the June 28th Beta. You will have to re-signup for the June 28th Beta via the form above.

While this is annoying, Blizzard says they’ve taken this approach as its main goal is to test Overwatch 2 on consoles and put its cross-play feature to the test.

Team 4, the Blizzard Entertainment team in charge of developing Overwatch, said this in a recent FAQ – “Because of this, we need to select players based in part on their platform choice, so we’re launching a new opt-in process which tracks player platform preference,”.

Is there Overwatch 2 Beta early access?

Strictly speaking, no there is not. However, there will be two separate Beta drops, meaning some people will have access to the Beta before others. The first batch of Beta users will be invited to play the game on June 28th – including users from all supported platforms.

The second batch of Beta invites will go out on July 5th, with all users lucky enough to be selected having access on July 15th.

What platforms will the Overwatch 2 Beta support?

As Overwatch 2 will be making a big push into the cross-play space, it’s no surprise to see numerous devices supported for the new game. At present, the Overwatch 2 Beta will be available on PC (Battlenet), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

All platforms will have access to the Beta at the same time, allowing Blizzard to fish out any annoying cross-play bugs that may occur between now and the official October 4th release date.

Overwatch 2 pre order

As Overwatch 2 will be a strictly free-to-play title, there is no official pre order for the game itself. That being said, fans of the game do have the option of pre ordering the game’s Watchpoint Pack – giving them access to the PvP Beta, a bunch of limited edition skins, and a Legendary Edition of the original title.
