As you can see, there are plenty of exciting things to come from Overwatch 2, increasing excitement around this already popular 5 v 5 shooter.

Season 1 kickstarts off with 3 new heroes (Sojourn, Junker Queen, and ‘yet to be named’ superhero) and 6 new maps – including Toronto, New York, Rome, Monte Carlo, Portugal, and Rio. Additionally, users will be able to play the previously announced Push game mode and access up to 30+ skins.

Seasons 2 plays hot to a new Tank hero and an unnamed map that is yet to be named. Alongside this, we can also expect a further 30+ new skins, new Battle Pass, and a coveted Mythic skin.

The roadmap goes on to discuss 2023 (and on) in minor detail – but as you can see, more new heroes, maps, modes, skins, and a PVE will begin.

Will Overwatch 2 have Battle Pass?

At the recent Overwatch 2 reveal event, we were treated to a glimpse of a work-in-progress Battle Pass. Following a similar trend to that of the original title, the new Overwatch 2 Battle Pass looks set to include a familiar mix of free content and premium unlocks – only eligible after purchasing the pass.

From the information currently available, it looks like Battle Pass users will receive cosmetics and XP boosters, with up to 100 levels to climb. At present, there is no information to suggest how much the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass will cost, nor do we know whether the rewards you receive are locked away at the end of the season.

Like most new titles these days, loot boxes will also be available for the new Overwatch 2 game.
