Ever since its release back in 2015 on the PlayStation 4, fans of the souls-style games have been begging for a PC release. Some fans have been skeptical that we’ll ever see a PC port – especially as many are still waiting for a Demon’s Souls port. However, there are new rumors stating that a PC version of Bloodborne could be on the way.
Where Did These Rumours Originate?
Over the last few days, a number of industry insiders have started teasing a PC version of Bloodborne. We have also recently seen a listing crop up on Amazon France which Sony has stated is inaccurate, but fans have still held out hope.
One of the first nods towards a Bloodborne PC release came from Twitter user Sloth Mom who tweeted that the title will be released on PC. Sloth Mom promised a charitable donation of $110 if a trusted source would give him any information. We’re not quite sure how accurate this rumor is as the source is never named, but a donation was indeed made and Sloth Mom even states he knows who is doing the port.
Another rumor came from Twitter user Wario64 who mentioned that you could play Bloodborne on PC with PlayStation Now or “or wait a little longer”. While there isn’t much more information than that, it’s still another healthy rumor to add to the list.
Finally, a ResetEra moderator named ‘Jawmuncher’ backed up the rumors that Bloodborne would be coming to PC by stating he had heard the same news.
What To Expect In Bloodborne
There is still no official confirmation from Sony of course, but we’re hoping it’s only a matter of time until we see some firm news. For those who haven’t had the chance to experience Bloodborne just yet, you’re in for a treat.
Bloodborne is set in a Victorian-inspired city whose inhabitants have been infected with a plague-type blood-borne disease. You’ll embark on a journey to find the source of this plague, uncovering the city of Yharnam’s mysteries along the way.
If you’ve played any of the Souls series of games, you’ll feel right at home here. You’ll have to make your way through increasingly difficult enemies on your journeys in a struggle to stay alive. Mix this in with a tactical, satisfying, unforgiving combat system and some of the most challenging bosses we’ve seen in video games and you have a recipe for a hard-fought victory.
With the huge success of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on PC earlier last year, we do hope these release rumors turn out to be true. For now, we’ll keep an eye out for any breaking news and let you know as soon as possible.
