We all know that Apple is developing the Apple Reality Pro, an AR/VR standalone headset much like the Meta Quest. However, Apple’s version is projected to be much higher spec than the Meta Quest lineup, even going as far as to integrate AI into its headset, but how? How is Apple going to integrate AI into its AR/VR headset? We speculate.

This article is mostly speculation, as there’s nothing much to go off here, but regardless, our minds run wild.

How do we know that Apple plans to integrate AI into the Reality Pro?

We know that Apple is looking heavily into AI going forward thanks to a Tweet from Mark Gurman, the Tweet states that there’s a position open for a software engineer with a strong focus on AI.

With that being said, Phone Arena reports that Apple plans to integrate something like chat GPT into its AR/VR headsets. but how could this integration possibly happen?

We think that the most likely integration will be some kind of voice activation prompt. Judging by the success of Apple’s Siri, it would be silly to not try to take advantage of the advancements made within the headset.

The one thing that’s pretty difficult in VR or AR for that matter is typing, maybe you will be able to use your voice to ask for something to be typed, or to ask for you to be taken somewhere on the web, or open a game.

The possibilities are endless, one thing is for sure and it’s that Apple will take this AI technology and use it for aiding its users. Apple doesn’t really employ gimmicks on its devices.

Whilst we do not know how Apple exactly plans to integrate AI into its upcoming VR headset, we are excited to find out exactly what it is.
