Rogue Company Closed Beta Launch Now Live

Hi-Rez Studios, behind titles such as Smite and Tribes: Ascend has just launched a brand new shooter.

Rogue Company is a third-person shooter which has just been released into a paid beta. This title has been developed by a new team at Hi-Rez, named First Watch Games.

What Can We Expect from Rogue Company?

From the launch and gameplay trailers, Rogue Company is a stylish, action-packed shooter with an “action movie flair”. This is a tactical shooter game which lets players suit up as an elite agent of the Rogue Company to take down bad guys and save the world.

Stew Chisam, president of Hi-Rez Studios said they were looking to create a game which contained all the ingredients of great shooter games while still offering something different. He described it as “instantly familiar yet refreshing and unique”.

Rogue Company has a few different multiplayer modes so far. The first one is Extraction which is a 4v4 mode where one team has to hack an objective and the other team has to defend it. Another multiplayer mode is the 2v2 mode called Wingman but there aren’t many details on that so far. We imagine more modes will be added in time.
