We got to learn all about this 55″ monitor in our Odyssey Ark review, and it still gets daily use in our office. Now that Samsung have released the second generation Ark with some improvements, we’re seeing the original model get a price slash worth talking about.
In fact, the Samsung Odyssey Ark has hit its lowest-ever price on Amazon according to price-checking sites such as CamelCamelCamel. It has dropped from its list price of $2,699.99 down to just $1,799.00 – a sizeable saving of just over $900, which works out at 33% off. As we’ve already mentioned, the 33% off this monitor offers you a big saving. The Odyssey Ark is a gamechanger if you want a super immersive gaming monitor, something for media consumption, or plenty of screen space to keep work productivity up. We can’t lie, it took some time getting used to, but it enjoys daily use for work in the WePC office, and has done for over a year now.

Within the office, this monitor has somewhat delegated to being a big display for spreadsheets as of late, but the gaming performance is great too if that’s what you’re after. We’ve had it both within the horizontal orientation pictured above, as well as the over-arching vertical ‘cockpit’ model, which is a unique experience. Just be sure you have an extra pair of hands if you want to transport it about.
Is the Samsung Odyssey Ark worth it at this price?
Considering the Odyssey Ark has now hit its lowest-ever price (at the time of writing), it could be the best deal we see all year. That being said, Black Friday is quickly approaching and Black Friday Samsung Odyssey Ark deals could drop the price even lower. If you don’t want to risk it though, then securing this deal right now is a great idea.
It’s no secret that the Odyssey Ark is a highly-priced item, but this deal drops it down to a level we’d be comfortable spending. The high-end Mini LED display, gaming-friendly specs, and massive screen size makes it a mammoth of a display. We did have a couple of drawbacks in our review regarding the size and launch price, but if you’re looking for a large-screen monitor, then this current deal makes it worth it.
