Air or liquid?

Liquid

Max RPM

2200 RPM

Max Noise

36 dB

Dimensions

H(279) x W(121) x D(37) mm

Pros
  • Performs really well for its price
  • Great UI control and customization
  • Very durable
  • Fully customizable RGB and fan speeds
  • Can attach up to 4 fans in total
  • Supports PWMc
Cons
  • Can be really loud when set to max
  • Installing onto the CPU can be tricky

The Corsair Hydro Series H100i Pro RGB is a relatively cheap liquid cooler that professionals highly recommend, and like the Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360Rit also boasts RGB lighting.

Through their iCUE software, you can easily achieve a wide range of RGB lighting setups across a spectrum of colors. Plus, it comes with a predefined configuration setting that lets you control the fan speeds from 100%, 50% and even run them at 0%. This means you can leave the fans at 0% and have the pumps do all the work as long as the temperature is cool enough.

The pump also comes pre-applied with a thermal paste but you can always use an aftermarket paste if you have one. Nonetheless, the thermals that come with it are fine.

Mounting the pump onto the motherboard can be tricky because the default bracket is compatible with Intel processors. There is an included bracket for AMD processors as well, but you have to swap them out.

Just twist the bracket counterclockwise, remove it, and then replace it with the AMD bracket by twisting it clockwise to lock it in place. You might also need someone to hold the pump as you screw them in place to keep it from slipping and whatnot.

It’s also worth noting that the fans do not have RGB lights. But you can get 2 more fans that have RGB lights and install it on the other side of the radiator– a total of 4 fans in all (2 push-in and 2 push-out fans).

In some situations, consumers would replace the (2) included fans with 2x Magnetic Levitation 120mm RGB fans on top of another 2 fans on the opposite side of the radiator for a full RGB lighting setup. This makes it the best in the range as it opens up a lot of customization possibilities.

But if you don’t want to invest more, you can stick with the two included fans. In fact, I’d personally recommend you stick with it if you don’t want to spend more. These are already good enough to give you great cooling potential– unless you really want to go RGB or you want to maximize its cooling potential.

Overall, the build is made from premium materials, which guarantees durability, longevity, and a place on our list of the best AIO coolers currently available.

Things to consider before buying an AIO liquid cooler

When it comes to keeping the CPU cool generally, you can get away with a stock or aftermarket air cooler. The bottom line is your CPU probably isn’t going to need the best cooler you can find to keep it happy. That being said, choosing the right cooler is important. After all, you are investing hundreds of dollars, in most cases, for that new CPU.

When it came to making these selections, we needed to make sure everything did its job, and well, cooled efficiently.

With all in one cooler, thermal performance isn’t the only criterion that got us hot and bothered; there were a few others to look into :

AIO cooler reliability

Reliability is of high importance when dealing with all-in-one coolers and that is for one simple reason, liquid! The last thing you want is some cheap knock-off leaking all over your components and potentially shorting out.

In the quest for the perfect cooling solution, you want to make sure that the manufacturers are highly regarded and offer good customer service.

HowToInstallanAIO 30

AIO cooler performance

Every all in one cooler on this list has proven to offer a good level of performance in the cooling department. Unlike air coolers we cant say they have performed well for the price they cost because that would be a lie and if you are cash strapped then an air cooler could be exactly what you need as they often offer similar levels of performance.

AIO Performance

The allure of these big radiator-sporting coolers is how they deal with overclocking. They have that little extra something to squeeze power out of your CPU effectively without anything breaking!

The noise of an AIO cooler and its pump

While liquid coolers are quite quiet, they are not as silent as air-cooling solutions. This is because the liquid cooler also features a fan on the radiator and the CPU block needs to pump water around the AIO loop.

All the coolers on this list aren’t particularly loud, but they don’t pride themselves on it. For a truly silent setup, you may want to go with an air solution or fanless.

How to choose the best All-In-One Cooler for you

Choosing the best AIO (All-In-One) liquid cooler for your needs can be a daunting task, but there are a few key factors to consider that can help you make an informed decision.

HowToInstallanAIO 18

First, consider the size of the radiator. Radiator size can impact the cooling performance of the AIO cooler, with larger radiators typically providing better cooling. However, it’s also important to ensure that the radiator size will fit comfortably in your PC case.

Next, think about the fans. The fans on an AIO cooler can impact both the cooling performance and noise level. Look for fans with a high static pressure, which can help to push air through the radiator and improve cooling. Additionally, consider the noise level of the fans, especially if you’re looking for a quieter PC build.

Another important factor to consider is the compatibility of the AIO cooler with your CPU socket. Make sure that the AIO cooler you’re considering is compatible with your CPU’s socket type. Most AIO coolers are designed to fit a range of sockets, but it’s always important to double-check before making a purchase.

Finally, consider any additional features or design elements that may be important to you. Some AIO coolers come with RGB lighting or LCD screens for added customization options, while others may have a particular design aesthetic that complements your PC build.

Overall, choosing the best AIO liquid cooler for your needs requires careful consideration of factors like radiator size, fan performance, compatibility, and additional features. By taking the time to evaluate these factors, you can select an AIO cooler that provides efficient cooling and fits seamlessly into your PC build.

What Size AIO Cooler Should You Pick?

If you have a relatively low-power CPU that doesn’t draw much TDP, then a large all-in-one cooler isn’t necessary.

Different sizes of AIO coolers

Of course, picking the right all-in-one cooler may come down to how much room you have in your case. If you are struggling for the room an all-in-one cooler may improve the internal temps of your system. With AIO coolers you lose the massive heatsinks for more conveniently sized radiators which can be mounted in several positions in most cases.

Does AIO radiator size affect cooling performance?

Yes, the radiator size of an AIO (All-In-One) liquid cooler can affect its cooling performance. Generally, larger radiators can dissipate more heat, resulting in better cooling performance. This is because a larger radiator has a larger surface area and can hold more coolant, which allows for more effective heat transfer from the CPU to the coolant.

However, it’s important to note that the impact of radiator size on cooling performance can vary depending on other factors, such as the type of CPU being cooled, the thermal conductivity of the cooler’s materials, and the efficiency of the fans being used to move air through the radiator.

In addition to performance considerations, it’s also important to choose a radiator size that fits in your case and matches your aesthetic preferences. A larger radiator may not fit in all cases, and some users may prefer a smaller radiator for a more streamlined look.

Make sure your AIO cooler fits your CPU socket

Your new liquid all-in-one cooling solution needs to fit, right? Despite most coolers being produced to fit most CPU sockets, you should still check to see compatibility. Most cooler manufacturers will send various brackets for various setups however some all-in-one coolers can only work with specific sockets.
To determine the type of CPU socket that fits your CPU cooler, check your CPU or your motherboard specifications.

Consider an optimal cooling setup for your AIO CPU Cooler

It’s not as complex as it seems to set up your AIO CPU cooler for optimal cooling, here’s what we recommend:

When you Install the AIO cooler onto the CPU, make sure to apply a good thermal paste onto the CPU before installing the AIO cooler. Then, mount the AIO cooler onto the CPU and tighten the screws until it is securely in place.

Position the radiator and fans in the correct way. The radiator of the AIO cooler should be placed in a position where it can draw cool air from outside the case and expel hot air from inside the case. This can be achieved by positioning the radiator at the top or front of the case. The fans should be positioned so that they are pulling cool air through the radiator.

Configure the fan speed of your AIO’s fans. It is important to configure the fan speed correctly to achieve optimal cooling. You can use the BIOS settings or a software utility to set the fan speed. Ideally, you want the fans to be spinning fast enough to provide sufficient airflow, but not so fast that they become noisy.

Consider push-pull configuration. If your case allows it, consider setting up a push-pull configuration with your AIO cooler. This means that you have fans on both sides of the radiator – one pushing air through and one pulling air out. This can improve cooling performance by increasing airflow.

Monitor your temperatures. Once you have set up your AIO cooler and fan configuration, monitor your CPU temperatures to ensure that they are within safe limits. If you notice that your CPU is running hot, you may need to adjust your fan speeds or consider repositioning the AIO cooler.

Overall, the key to setting up an AIO cooler and fan configuration for optimal cooling is to ensure that you are drawing cool air into the case, expelling hot air out of the case, and configuring the fan speeds correctly.

Does RGB affect fan cooling performance?

RGB on fans does not have a direct effect on cooling performance, as the RGB lighting itself does not generate heat. However, some argue that the addition of RGB lighting can slightly increase the weight of the fan, which could affect the overall balance and potentially cause some vibration or noise issues. It’s worth noting that the impact on cooling performance would be minimal if any at all.

bestaio 5

How do AIO liquid coolers work?

AIO liquid coolers, also known as All-In-One liquid coolers, work by using a closed-loop system to transfer heat away from the CPU. The cooler consists of a pump, a radiator, and one or more fans. The pump is located near the CPU and circulates a liquid coolant through the system.

The liquid absorbs heat from the CPU and is then pumped through the radiator, which is usually located at the back or top of the case. The radiator is equipped with one or more fans that blow air over the fins of the radiator, which helps to dissipate the heat absorbed by the liquid coolant. The cooled liquid is then pumped back to the CPU to absorb more heat.

AIO liquid coolers are considered to be more effective at removing heat from the CPU than traditional air coolers, and they are also quieter and take up less space.

Final Word

In conclusion, when choosing an AIO (All-In-One) liquid cooler for your PC, you need to consider several factors that impact its performance, reliability, and noise level.

These factors include the radiator size, fan performance, compatibility with your CPU socket, and additional features like RGB lighting or LCD screens. While larger radiators generally offer better cooling performance, you need to make sure that the radiator size fits comfortably in your PC case.

Additionally, you should check the compatibility of the AIO cooler with your CPU socket to ensure that it will fit. By taking the time to evaluate these factors, you can select an AIO cooler that provides efficient cooling, fits seamlessly into your PC build, and ensures your CPU’s longevity.
