The RTX 4060 Ti and upcoming RTX 4060 gives PC gamers new, affordable mid-range options. Regardless if you are building a fresh system or just upgrading, you are going to want the best PC case for the new card, ensuring it remains cool and looks pretty at all times. The RTX 4060 Ti & RTX 4060 size is listed via Nvidia’s spec sheet, showing that the Founders Edition is a 2-slot card and has a max length of 244mm x a width of 98mm. Aftermarket models tend to be larger than the FE model, so we will pick a selection of cases that accommodate more.

When choosing a PC case for any build you always want to consider size compatibility, airflow, and features before purchasing. We have gone for the almighty Corsair 4000D Airflow as our first choice, an affordable case that reviewed well in our testing, offering good airflow, features, and aesthetics.

Best PC case for RTX 4060 & 4060 Ti: Corsair 4000D Airflow

Corsair 4000D Airflow Black

Corsair 4000D Airflow

Type

Mid-tower

Motherboard Support

ATX, mATX, Mini-ITX

Dimensions

17.83 x 9.06 x 18.35 inches

Included Fans

2 x 120mm AirGuide fans

Pros
  • Great airflow
  • Reasonably priced
  • Comes with 2 x pre installed fans
Cons
  • X variant looks better but compromises airflow

For our money, the Corsair 4000D Airflow is one of the best in its price range, offering all the quality, features, and airflow your build will ever need. The 4000D is a smaller mid-tower PC case than its newer 5000-series siblings and comes with two 120mm fans pre-installed for out-of-the-box airflow. There is a 4000X model which comes with a tempered glass front panel, however, we recommend you stick to the 4000D for its superior performance. Overall, a high-quality case from Corsair will make your RTX 4060 Ti build shine.

Best RGB PC Case for RTX 4060 & 4060 Ti: Phanteks Eclipse P400A

Phanteks Eclipse P400A RGB

P400a Phanteks PC case

Type

Mid-Tower

Motherboard Support

Mini-ITX, MicroATX, ATX, and EATX

Dimensions (HxWxD)

470 x 210 x 465 mm

Fan Support

6 x 120mm

Pros
  • Affordable
  • Great features and perfomance for the price
  • Comes with pre-installed RGB fans
Cons

The Phanteks P400A RGB fits the bill perfectly, combining an attractive design with excellent airflow performance, all for a reasonable price. Phanteks is well known for its superior build quality, and the P400A RGB is no exception. The P400A comes with a removable tempered glass window, and three pre-installed RGB fans, bringing style and airflow to your build. To optimize airflow, we suggest moving one of the fans to the back of the case. However, this may disrupt the visual appeal of the front. To maintain the aesthetic, we recommend purchasing an additional 120mm fan for the back.

Best mATX case for RTX 4060 & 4060 Ti: Thermaltake Versa H18

Thermaltake Versa H18

Thermaltake Versa H18

Type

Micro ATX (small mid-tower)

Motherboard Support

mATX, Mini-ITX

Dimensions

398(H) x 205(W )x 439(D)

Included Fans

1 x 120mm

Pros
  • Very cheap
  • Comes with 1 x pre installed fan
  • Aesthetically pleasing
Cons
  • Can’t fit ATX motherboards
  • We recommend buying an additional fan for intake

We highly recommend the PC cases from Corsair and Phanteks both of which excelled in our testing, however, we have also included a budget option for those looking to keep those purse strings in check. The Thermaltake Versa H18 isn’t going to win any awards and be warned, you cannot fit an ATX motherboard into this case. Still, the overall aesthetics are nice, and the airflow is adequate (comes with one 120mm fan) but we recommend buying an additional fan for intake.

RTX 4060 Ti & RTX 4060 PC case clearance

Every case selection above will accommodate the RTX 4060Ti but you should always check the GPU specs of whatever model you choose to buy as they can vary in size. The RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4060 are both 2-slot cards. the length of the RTX 4060 is still yet to be revealed, however, the TI variant features a length of 244mm and a width of 98mm, meaning it will fit in most systems. The recent RTX 4070 GPU also featured this length, however, was wider at 112mm. The RTX 3060 Ti (FE) was a similar size, with a length of 242mm and a width of 112mm. You can rest assured this will fit in most cases, however, when dealing with smaller form factors, you should take extra care.

Are the RTX 4060 & 4060 Ti smaller than the RTX 4070?

Technically, yes the RTX 4060 Ti is slightly smaller but only in the width department. The RTX 4060 Ti sits 244mm long, the exact same as the RTX 4070 FE model. The 4060 Ti is slightly thinner, with a width of only 98mm, compared to the 4070s 112mm. The AIB models will often come in longer and wider than these measurements depending on the cooling system, so take care when buying a PC case.

The RTX 4060 Ti is the smallest 40-series GPU yet, albeit very similar/ on par with the RTX 4070. This means it smaller stature and low TDP could make it a smart option for those tight on space.

Can the RTX 4060 & RTX 4060 Ti fit inside an SFF case?

The RTX 4060 Ti will likely fit in a lot of smaller form factor cases but it needs to be assessed on a “case by case” basis. Puns aside, Nvidia are also launching ITX RTX 4060 Ti models, giving those who have no space to work with another solution. Regardless, there will be dual fan options too, catering for a wide range of different case requirements. Smaller PC cases have a lot of hazards to try and avoid for system builders, sometimes offering limited support

Why a mid-tower is the best PC case size for the RTX 4060 & RTX 4060 Ti

Mid-tower PC cases offer a great balance of features, cooling, and affordability. Yes, there are some mid-towers that cost a fortune, however, there are many high-quality options at this size. Full-towers are far too much case for the RTX 4060 Ti and should only really be considered for elaborate setups that need sufficient airflow, or of course, water-cooling. Some smaller ITX cases will also accommodate specific RTX 4060 Ti models, however, these are less accessible than mid-towers and can be a bit tricky to build in for first-time buyers.

Mid-towers offer excellent airflow for the price, decent features, and affordable price points, and are very easy to build in, making them a superior choice for those looking to build a new gaming PC.
