Nvidia has brought out their previously highly regarded XX60 cards to a mixed bag of reviews. the RTX 4060 Ti launched and technically offers some improvement over the previous generation, however, some felt it wasn’t worth the upgrade this time around. Moving on a few months and the RTX 4060 is set to release this week. The RTX 4060 is going to be Nvidia’s most affordable card yet, covering system builders that play in 1080p. Anyone looking to purchase one of the latest graphics cards has probably already started putting together a build list wondering what size the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti are. Well, both SKUs have 2-2.5 slot models in the range and you can see full dimensions below. As getting the new graphics cards is great but not being able to fit them into your build is not ideal, so some pre-planning is necessary.
RTX 4060 size
Now in terms of the RTX 4060 non-Ti size, there is no official one dimension for the Founder’s Edition as it seems Nvidia is omitting to make one itself. The specs say that it will vary by manufacturer and so you have to look at each custom model separately to see its dimensions.
Although the embargo is not quite here just yet, it does mean the specs of some cards are not out there just yet, but you can expect similar sizing to the 4060 Ti models with the same name. So here are some of the models with provided dimensions at the moment.

The next question you need to ask yourself is if your PC case has enough space to house the RTX 4060 Ti or 4060. Thankfully, Nvidia have you covered. A handy diagram can be found in the official press release.
First of all, you’ll need two unused expansion slots (as per the 2-slot design). It’s advised you have a sufficient amount of space for cables around the ports to ensure better cable manage and airflow. As for clearance space, the image below explains the details. You must have enough room for the previously mentioned dimensions, and additional space for the power cables as you would expect.
