AMD RDNA 2 Graphics Cards May Be Out in 2020, According to Leaked Roadmap

Some interesting news has recently surfaced about a supposed successor to the popular AMD Radeon RX 5700 and 5700 XT graphics cards being in the works. The previous graphics cards have only been out a couple of months which is what makes this news particularly exciting.

What We Know so Far

Apart from the leaked roadmaps which appeared on Guru3D, we don’t know anything concrete as of yet. As these are only leaks and could change at any time it might be a good idea to wait and hear from AMD themselves… this doesn’t stop us from speculating though!

It appears from the roadmap that the “ZEN 4” chips are currently being designed as are the Radeon GPUs. Of course, we knew that more would be coming in the future but the speed AMD is currently developing new hardware is quite impressive!

What Do We Have to Look Forward To?

With the new chips looking like they will land in 2020 this means users will have a whole new range of tech to choose from. The AMD Radeon RX 5700 and 5700 XT graphics cards received very positive reviews on release so it will be very interesting to find out what AMD plans to improve on.

It’s probably no coincidence that these cards are due to release roughly around the same time that the “Xbox Project Scarlett” is slated for release. It has already been confirmed that the new console will use the latest chipsets and architecture that AMD has to offer. This looks to be a good move on Microsoft’s end with AMD seeming to start to pull ahead of Intel lately.

Could these cards make their way into the new consoles? If so, can we start to get an idea of how powerful these will be based on the information we know from the current generation?

At the end of the day, only time will tell. Make sure you keep checking back though as we will keep you up to date as and when news arrives.
