The LG C3 OLED TV is currently one of the best on the market, and further price cuts have made it even better value for money. Over on Amazon, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the prices and it has now dropped down to almost as cheap as the LG C2, with less than ten dollars separating them, depending on the size.

It occupies our number one best OLED TV spot for good reason, and sizeable discounts make it all the better. Now that the LG C4 release date has finally arrived, it has overtaken the C3, but we still think that the latter is your best option in terms of value.

We’re going to focus on the smallest 42-inch model here, but there are similar price cuts across the range. Comparing the three most recent models, we can see that the C3 is just over $9 more expensive than the C2 – well worth the extra cash considering the generational differences between the LG C2 vs C3.

Comparing the prices above, we’d have to say that the brand-new C4 is not worth the added cost. The C3 would be our go-to option if you’re looking to buy a new OLED TV right now.

Which should I buy?

As we demonstrated above, the LG C3 OLED TV is the best value out of the recent models. We’d say that the C1 is more or less obsolete these days given its lack of an OLED evo panel and all the associate brightness upgrades – plus the price isn’t much lower than what succeeded it.

You can tell that the C2 is popular based on the Amazon customer reviews – and though we gave it close to top marks in our LG C2 OLED TV review, the C3 is a worthy successor. For just a little extra bit of cash, it is certainly the one you should buy. That being said, price tracking site CamelCamelCamel does reveal that the 42″ C3 has been as low as ~$800, so maybe there’s good reason to wait even longer.
