LG C4 OLED TV release date history

Let’s start off with taking a look back at the release date history for these LG C-series TVs. Not every series of products out there follow a strict or routine release schedule, but these LG OLEDs have formed a pattern which makes prediction the release date much easier.

• LG C1 OLED TV release date: April 2021
• LG C2 OLED TV release date: March 2022
• LG C3 OLED TV release date: March 2023

All three of these previous TVs have had their big debut at CES in January of their respective years.

LG C4 OLED TV release date

With LG C4 pre orders going live, we now have a concrete date for the LG C4 OLED TV release date. According to early Amazon listings, we noticed that the LG C4 was listed for release on March 11. Despite this, that date has come and it isn’t yet in stock. Instead, we’ll go off the LG store date of arrival, which we spotted listed as starting on the week of March 18th, 2024. This may be subject to change though.

As one of LG’s most popular TVs, sitting within the middle (tier-wise) of this OLED line-up, the LG C4 is highly anticipated, especially since the jump from the LG C2 vs LG C3 wasn’t particularly massive to warrant an upgrade for most people.

So, a price hike of $100 across the board thanks to improved specs such as a new processor chip (the Alpha 9) for better brightness and picture quality in every C4 model. Another key spec is that the C4 will also support up to 144Hz (up from 120Hz) for PC gamers with AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync certification. The pressure from competitors is always something to think about for LG, so expect the price to sit around the same level as above.

If the pricing is out of your range, the good news is that we’ll likely see the cost of the older C3 drop off once the C4 establishes its position on the market. Last year we saw discounts on the LG C2 all over the place, so the arrival of the C4 is also great for those looking to spot a bargain on the previous generation.
