How We Choose

It doesn’t matter if we’re rounding up a list of best keyboards or the latest and greatest VR headsets, we put a lot of research and care into our reviews to make them as accurate as possible.

We know choosing the right graphics card is a tough task, especially with so many options out there. When making recommendations, we spend countless hours of product research and testing before we are confident in delivering our findings.

With all the technical jargon and various choices out there, we like to take the stress of all this research away. Once we’ve conducted our research and testing, we deliver the results to you in the form of easy to understand yet comprehensive reviews.

How We Test

We always try to test all of the products we recommend, and if this isn’t possible, we make sure to do a fair bit of research beforehand. This is to make sure that we are only ever recommending the best products, ones that we’d use ourselves in a heartbeat.

In our tests, we look at and measure a number of product qualities to ensure they are the ‘best.’ A product must perform well in our tests, be priced accordingly, and outshine the rest of the competition to earn a recommendation.

In the case of graphics cards, we make sure we look at the build quality, cooling solutions, price bracket, efficiency, and, most importantly, the overall performance in our strict testing phase.

This is all in an effort to provide you with the most accurate reviews of each product and how it performs so that you can make the right choice when purchasing.

Things To Consider

We know that nobody wants a slow graphics card. If you are reading this article, you are no doubt upgrading from a slower system that you want to improve.

With most games these days having a huge demand from the GPU rather than the CPU, it’s important to have a card that can cope with this demand. You’ll want to make sure the card of your choice will deliver the performance you need before investing.

It’s important to remember that you probably won’t need the highest performing graphics card out there to achieve the results you want. If you know you are only going to be doing a bit of light gaming, there’s no point in dropping $500 on a new graphics card!

It shouldn’t surprise you to learn that cooling is one of the most important things to look out for when selecting a graphics card. What might surprise you is the fact that each of these manufacturers will include a different cooling solution on their version of the card, and of course, they each say their own is the best!

The overall running temperature of your card is something that can have a massive impact when it comes to running performance. The more stress you put on your graphics card, the higher the temperatures will rise. If left unchecked, this will compromise your hardware efficiency and, in some cases, even cause damage.

You’ll also want to take a bit of care when selecting higher-powered graphics cards as they usually tend to be larger. This is usually due to a larger cooling solution, which can significantly increase the horizontal length of the card.

Don’t be fooled into thinking a large card is always better. This, thankfully, isn’t the case. You can still find plenty of high-performance graphics cards which will fit in the smallest of cases - providing you can keep them cool!

If you have a tape measure handy, make sure to have a quick double-check to see if you have enough room in your case before you purchase your graphics card. Keep in mind that you’ll want a bit of space leftover to aid in cooling as well.

What Budget Should I Set For a Radeon RX 570 Graphics Card?

Even though we all want the best card out there, we realize that a budget plays a huge part in any decision. If this is the first time you’re looking at GPUs, you may not have even realized they can vary in cost within the same product line.

If you have decided to purchase an RX 570 graphics card for your system and are not just deliberating which model to choose, you’ll need to be aware that these come at different price points.

For example, you can pick up an offering from Asus that will set you back around $120, whereas an option with a greater performance by the same company will cost around $180.

To add a bit of context to some of the prices you’ll see, you can expect to pay around $120 for entry-level models with 4 GB of memory and between $150-200 for higher-end models which come with 8 GB of memory.

The Best 570 GPUs

MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8G OC

While this card might not be the cheapest on the list, it offers an impressive, eye-catching design with the monochrome black and white fan design. This is by far the best looking card on the list today and will brighten up any build. While it doesn’t include any RGB features, it more than makes up for it with its stylish design.

The clock speed is pretty impressive, too, coming in at 1268 MHz. MSI’s offering on the list is a solid choice for the RX 570 card, which will give you the performance you need to push your games to their limits.

It’s not just a good looking card with decent clock speed, though. The MSI RX 570 also card also uses TORX fan technology to provide an advanced airflow, which helps to improve the cooling throughout the card.

If you want a quiet graphics card, this MSI variant comes with the Zero Frozr feature, which enables the fans to stop in low-load situations. This is a great feature to not only keep temperatures low but also to keep the card running as quietly as possible.

For those looking to overclock their card, you can make use of MSI’s popular Afterburner Overclocking tool, which is a piece of software you can use to boost the effectiveness of your card.

XFX AMD Radeon RX 570 RS 8GB Black Edition

Boasting the highest ‘true clock’ speed on our list today, the XFX AMD Radeon RX 570 RS 8GB Black Edition is an excellent option for those who are looking to push their system to the max.

While this card may have the highest clock speed on our list today, it is let down a bit by a rudimentary cooling system. Consisting of just two red fans, there isn’t a lot of information or even promotional material on the website that gives us an idea of what they are capable of. If you plan on pushing this card to its maximum capabilities, it would be wise to keep an eye on those temperatures.

However, this card does include a feature that we wish was standard on all GPUs - Dual BIOS capability.  This gives us more options in how we choose to run our systems. With a dual BIOS, you are able to flip from a performance section to one that prioritizes noise reduction over performance. If you are looking for a card that will be nice and quiet, this is a great option to have.

This card has very favorable reviews overall, and it’s easy to see why. You’re getting a lot of performance for your money with this product, as well as an impressive three-year warranty - something that is not often mentioned in reviews but is a great factor for peace of mind.

Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 GAMING 4G

If you are looking for a card on the lower end of the budget, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 GAMING 4G is a great option. While you’ll be making a sacrifice on the amount of VRAM your card provides, it will still perform quite well, considering the lower price.

As far as performance goes, you’ll still get a respectable clock speed of 1244 MHz, which is on par with the other offerings we’ve mentioned today. While you will sacrifice some performance due to the lower VRAM, there is an 8 GB model available if you have the extra cash.

This card has quite a respectable cooling set up as well. Using Gigabyte’s proprietary Windforce fan design, gamers can not only expect low temperatures but also a pretty quiet card. These 90mm bladed fans will also remain still once the GPU is at a lower temperature; this is indicated by a handy “FAN STOP” LED on the side of the card. When paired with the three copper heat pipes that are shaped to maximize contact with the GPU, this is a pretty impressive cooling solution.

This is quite a stylish card too, with a jet black angled design with orange accents, this will look good in any system. There is an aspect of RGB on this card, but it merely consists of the GIGABYTE and FAN STOP section. It’s a nice inclusion, but if RGB is a must for you, there may be better options out there.

Rounding Up

That just about wraps up our list of some of the best Radeon RX 570 offerings on the market today. While there are certainly more options out there than we listed, we have made sure to pick cards that meet different users’ needs.

As this is quite a lengthy article, we’ve included a little summary of what we enjoy the most about each card.

  • If you are looking for a card that is not only cheaper but still offers an impressive suite of features, the Gigabyte offering is a great bet. With the Windforce cooling solution and a great design, this is great value for money.
  • Going for an all-out performance? The XFX card offers the highest core clock on our list today. This is a great card for those looking to grab every frame possible from their cards.
  • The winner of the design wars this time is definitely the MSI offering. The white and black design is simply stunning and will look great in any case.

What’s a ‘best of’ list without a few honorable mentions eh? While we only included four cards today, any of the cards below would be a great choice for your system.
