It boasts a refresh rate of 138Hz (native 120Hz), a bullet-swift response time of 0.1ms, and is G-Sync compatible.
On the other hand, widely acclaimed as the best TV in 2022, LG C2 is nicely armed to compete even with the best monitors in terms of specs. Also with a 4K resolution, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz, the same as ASUS PG48UQ’s native. Even when it comes to response time, it’s not holding back – 1ms is unbelievably good for what’s supposed to be a TV. Also, it has FreeSync Premium, which is better compared to the ASUS PG48UQ’s G-Sync Compatible certification.
LG C2 has a rich array of HDR performance enhancers, though, with Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10 Pro. It’s a TV after all, and it’s one of the best ever – watching movies and TV shows will never be the same for you after getting a taste of LG C2.
Now shall we talk about performance? ASUS PG48UQ is an absolute powerhouse, offering buttery-smooth gameplay and stunning visuals, thanks to its fast refresh rate, and on the account of its OLED-powered display. It’s also solid for content creators, with insanely accurate color reproduction and HDR support, although not as great as the LG C2.
LG C2, hmm, what can we even say? For viewing media, you will hardly find a better display. Everything is just made so good, the OLED display shines with its inky blacks and high contrast levels, the color palette is stunning – and for gamers, it has the best a TV can offer. Both screens cater to their respective audience – ASUS PG48UQ is more optimized for gaming, and LG C2 is designed to take your home theater by storm.
As expected, both of these displays come with a considerable price tag. The ASUS PG48UQ is pricier though, retailing at $1499, while the LG C2 sits at a handy $1099. The $400 difference could be explained by LG C2 being a TV, but it’s still a sizable difference that may well make the LG C2 rule supreme.
Maybe surprisingly, we are more inclined towards the LG C2 as the better of these two. Considering it has the same refresh rate as ASUS PG48UQ, and even better adaptive sync technology in form of FreeSync Premium, for gaming purposes, it’s around the same if not even better than ASUS PG48UQ. And when we take media viewing and the price into the picture, it’s clear – LG C2 makes for a better deal here.
